Life at this
'Blue Zone'

There are five Blue Zones in the world that have been identified by scientists.

The Nicoya Peninsula is one of these zones.
The other zones are Loma Linda, California. Sardinia, Italy, Ikaria, Greece, and Okinawa, Japan.

When you are in Bellevue and the Playa Organos area you will realize the values of the blue zone easily.

Scientists believe the blue zones have more people living to be 100 years old and older more commonly than any other places in the world based on these values:

Life is slower-paced.

People slow down, walk, or bike places.

People get a healthy amount of exercise and stay active throughout their lives.

Families spend time together and socialize.

There are healthy community and family social ties.

The quality of life is not based on money but more on social and spiritual connections.

The food is healthy and the food chain is part of daily life.

People eat local, grow food, and eat fresh fish from the sea.

There is a healthy stable diet excellent fresh water and air quality.

Bellevue is the essence of The Nicoya Peninsula Blue Zone.
Healthy, beautiful, and connected to nature.
